Has it been that long?!

I was laying in bed the other night wide awake thinking...laundry to do; dishes in the sink; toys...everywhere; what would we eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner; how many smiles I would see on the kids faces; would Nic wake up in time for work? I had alot going through my mind. Then it happened. I started to think about when it was the I posted on the blog last. Tonight, my curiosity got the best of me. I got onto the computer and saw for myself when it was that I posted last... FEBRUARY! Are you joking?!?!?!? Well, it's not like I am a busy mom of three! So, forgive me, again. I won't make promises for how often I will start to blog, but there are good reasons why I've had a hard time getting to it....we've been having fun! Elise got this dress for her birthday from her Grandpa and Nana. She LOVES it! I wantd to take some pictures of her in it, but I thought it would look nicer if she took off the sunglasses. She didn't think so. Oh well. She is only 4 for a year!
Elise and Hans have a had a great time this summer discovering water. At first, we just had the hose and some sprinkler heads left over from Idaho Falls. They loved to spray eachother and be wet. Then they discovered that the wagon would do for a "pool." So, they would fill it up, and sit in it. They loved it! Nic finally took pity on them and bought them a real pool...one of those cheap plastic ones...they could not of been happier!
We love to go visit the temple. I think in many of our blogs we have pictures of us at the temple. It is such a quiet, calming place for us to go and think. Elise and Hans have learned much from our walks around the grounds. Also, I post these pictures because we had yet to get an updated picture of our family (if you can't tell by the family picture at the beginning of the blog.)
This is classic Nic. I love this kid! Each week Nic mows the lawn. We, the kids and I, love to watch out the window as he mows. Hans loves to use our toy lawn mower (that is supposed to blow bubbles, but never really did) to cut the grass. He wants to be like his Daddy!
Hans is such a funny kid. He is two, yet he wants to be just like Elise who is 4. Elise was playing with playdough while Hans was napping and she made a number of snakes. She left them on the table to watch a movie. In the meantime, Hans got up from his nap. This is what is left of her snakes...a ball and a kid who could not be happier at the treasure he found on the table! (I won't tell you what Elise did when she saw what Hans had done to her snakes! :0) )
Well, I guess that it is time we let the cat out of the hat for those of you who don't know. In my last post, I introduced you to Afton, our precious little miracle. In most of the the pictures, she is only 6 weeks old; she is now 9 months. She has added such love and happiness to our home. Now, I will introduce you to our precious little man that will be coming to our family in January 2013. He will add more character and personality to our ever crazy home, I am sure. We look forward to having him here.

Fun, fun, fun!

The kids and I spent a week in McCall while Nic was at a conference in Michigan. We had a great time playing with Grandpa and Grandma, as well as Aunt Liesel and the Leonards. We even were able to celebrate Aunt Liesel's birthday with her! That was a special treat. Upon returning home, I found myself on bedrest due to early signs of delivering. Grandpa packed up the kids and headed back to McCall leaving me on the couch with Nic as my gopher. We spent 3 weeks without the kids, but they were too busy to notice. They got to have more fun with Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and cousins. We have the kids back home with us, but I am still on moderate bedrest. We are at week 30 and going forward.

Anyway, we can't seem to go far without finding a swing to play on. The kids LOVE playgrounds.

Elise loves to help in the kitchen. Being at Grandma's was no exception.

Aunt Liesel's birthday celebration.

More playgrounds!

Elise fell in love with Princess. She helped to feed her each morning.

It wasn't the 4th of July, but Elise sure enjoyed her ice cream! Grandpa helped her to be very decorated!

The kids were supervising Nic as he made dinner...it was delicious!

Halloween has been fun. We all had a pumpkin to decorate. Nic helped Elise carve hers and then he did his own. I helped Hans decorate his with markers and stickers as well as mine. We had a bunch of fun! The kids dressed up as Snow White and Tigger. They loved going Trick or treating at the church and then around a few streets. These are some fun memories!

We are 30 weeks along today. It seems like this pregnancy has gone by fast, yet slow enough to "enjoy" all the bumps. The kids are very excited to have a baby at home; Elise is awaiting when she can rock her sister to sleep. What a precious girl! Hans loves babies, so it will be fun to see how he reacts to one being around 24/7. We are excited to have her come. Want to know her name?.... ABH are the initials...good luck guessing! :0)

We hope you have enjoyed seeing what we have been up to these past couple months. The next couple months will have some more exciting times. Peanut will be arriving as well as the Holidays that come with ending the year. We hope you and yours are doing well. May you be blessed this Holiday Season.
